Q: "Why are pore strips bad for me, anyway?"

A: As with everything else, moderation is key. The more you "strip" your pores, the more it "excites" your skin and, sadly, your nasty oil glands.. The more you use it, the more you'll need it.

It is fine to use it like, once a month, it's like getting a cheap and not as effective facial. Make sure that right after you do it, you use a toner on your nose..
Or rinse your face with cold water, tho it's not as effetcive (it'll help close your pores but it won't disinfect them...)

So, if you use Biore nose strips too often, you're, basically, cratings hundreds of tiny oils wells/trash bins on your face.

I hope I scared you  Wink

To follow-up on that Biore strips also leave behind the glue that is supposed to unclog your pores IN your pores. Theryby negating any good they did cleaning out your pores. I said pores alot... pores.. It's lost all meaning now.

Just a "warning" about the dishwasher though; if as I assume) you're using chemical detergents in the dishwasher, this will get into your skin, as it isn't all washed away. The broccoli and potato steaming ideas are probably better, because whatever's in the vegetables will be, if anything, good for your skin.

Good tip about the steaming veggies.  But what if you're using an organic detergent for the dishwasher?

Pore strips can tear off skin, leave stuff in your pores, And mess up blood vessels. I don't know how they mess up your blood vessels, but they do.

Ummm, why is cooking veggies wasteful?  I would assume that they go on the dinner table after being cooked rather than being tossed.  I can't imagine sticking your face over the pan for a few seconds is going to contaminate the veggies (well, unless you're sweating or crying, in which case, you shouldn't eat them afterwards, because, well, eww...).   lol
