Hi!
That's the dress I made Smiley

I chose  vintage Simplicity 8498 pattern as a base pattern for making  this dress
Yes, I tried to recreate a vintage Vogue Couturier 2112 Belinda Belville using another vintage pattern of the same era! Weird, I know Smiley

I was very excited to try a vintage pattern for the first time, but I'm afraid it was a bit of nightmare Sad

I'm very glad that I made a muslin! I spent 3 days fiddling with it, and in the end there was no line or curve of the pattern that had been left unchanged!

It's a shame as it's my first time of using vintage pattern, and this painful experience kind of put me off vintage patterns..

More photos and ramblings on my blog, where I am currently hosting a sewing related giveaway!

I really like the way you have done the back as more open (at the top).  It is lovely.

It's very pretty and most of all perfectly made, the seams are so smooth! I also like the deep opening with the bow at the back!

So glamorous! I could see it on a red carpet Smiley. It looks like your cute dog approves too!
