Bagtart - thanks so much, you have saved my bag from the bin! I am more than happy with my rounded corners now!

Gendelsmom - thanks, I did read your post and it really helped me out. I was making a rucksack and used the style of this bag's top and sides for it, so I think it didn't help that my proportions were a lot smaller. Anyway, the bag is made now and I'm almost happy with it!

Thanks!   Wink

I made one! It looks not nearly as professional and beautiful as the ones on here, but it was my first bag EVER! I was so happy with how it turned out.... I hope my swap partner was as well!!!!

and the interior:

Great bag!  Thanks!  I was saddened when I read that the fabric was from curtains, though, but maybe I can find similar.  It really makes the bag fun and would seem to go with a lot.

I have always wanted to make a pants bag, but dont really like pants bags.... so i found these cute pink cords (and a pair of gold pleather pants for $2!)  I found this tutorial and my mind went back to a pants bag, this way you could have useful pockets on the outside. I didn't make side  straps - long story - i figure i'll just make something with the ability to attach to the belt buckles.
