A baby sweater made from this vintage pattern, found through Ravelry: http://www.freevintagecrochet.com/baby-patterns/doreen92/crochet-baby-set-pattern206

The pattern didn't give a gauge or finished size, but I made it as a gift for a 6 month old and I think/hope it will be a good fit.  Fortunately it's stretchy and the shape gives it a pretty forgiving fit.

The yarn is vintage as well, I think.  I got it from a spring cleaning giveaway a friend held a few years ago.  The brand is Snow Ball Yarns, and the style is "Baby Pompa-Ray."  I tried Googling it, but it doesn't seem like anyone's every heard of the stuff, so I guess this sweater is truly one of a kind.

It is so lovely - both the pattern and the colour. Lucky baby!

This is lovely! Your stitch work looks great, and I bet it'll be treasured even if it doesn't fit for very long. Smiley

I made something similar for my son, nearly 27 years ago.  Of course I don't remember where I got the pattern, but it wasn't off the internet, lol.
