Got mine today!

Hats for all 4 of us, chocolates, lollipop lips for the girls, slippers for me, 2 chapstick cozies w/chapstick, dog and cat treats, deck of cards.  Sorry you cant see the stocking in there--I can't find my camera's memory card so had to use my cellphone.

My girls w/the lollipop lips.  Abby especially loves her new hat and she usually won't keep hats on!

My favorite item--a framed print of my and my husband's birthdates, our anniversary, and the dates of both girls births.

I received and finally got it open because I finally sent. Apparently my partner and I had different interpretations of a "medium" package. Live and learn. No harm done. Here are the pics.

Candy canes/bible sketch game. My other picture of store bought goodies must has disappeared, like the items in it. She also sent 4 small spiral notebooks with a package of 4 pencils and a kitchen towel/potholder set.

Made items:

3 matching headbands

Scarf?

neck warmer? It's really short but I think it would work if I got like a shawl pin or something.

And the stocking:

She said it was made out of a tree skirt her mum had.

My package was delivered back on the 5th, so I will go ahead and post pictures of what I made.

Since my partner had a lot of natural elements posted to her Pinterest, I chose a Woodlands theme for the stocking.  It is the swap item I am most proud of to date, so I hope she likes it.  Smiley

The appliqués are made of everyday craft felt sheets, and needle-felted onto a slightly higher-quality felt that was cut from a bolt.  Originally, I wanted it to be more of a "Winter Woodlands" theme, but I felt that the white felt was too bright and clashed with the other colors, so I opted to sew on clear and white opaque beads to connote the idea of snow.  Although they look a little dull in the photo, they add a nice touch of sparkle in person.  I didn't take a picture of the back, but it features my partner's name cut out in red felt letters, with an "in-line" of beads sewn down the centers of the letters.  It kinda ended up looking like marquee letters a little  Tongue

Next up was a hoopla, featuring her and her husband's name, and her home state of Tennessee.  This was my first embroidery hoop that was not cross-stitched, and I was very pleased with the way her name came out in running stitch, since I was just free-handing it while going along.  (Her husband's name was a little less successful, so next time I do something like this, I will write it out and do an image-transfer or something so I have a guide to stitch along.)

This little cross-stitch fox was done on 28-count evenweave.  When I took this picture, the fabric was just sitting in an embroidery hoop, but I ended up cutting it out into a small heart shape, stuffing it with poly fill, and turning it into a sort of rustic-looking ornament.

And lastly, a tiny painting inspired by the movie Amelie.  Here is a "Polaroid" of Amelie's dad's traveling garden gnome making a stop in my hometown of San Antonio!  It is done in acrylics mixed heavily with water, since I wanted it to have more of a watercolor effect.  (Interesting note -- this worked much better with my cheaper quality student-level paints than my Level 2 artist's brands.  I guess it makes sense, since the cheaper paints have much less pigment and more filler, so the pigment separated better in the water.)

You should be proud of that package, vincentvanbuck. That stocking is so cute! And the fox is adorable. Good job!

I know it has taken me forever to post pics, but quaggy did an amazing job!  (My camera photo conversions to a smaller size took longer than I would have liked).  Here's the haul unopened:

Then came the presents! Reindeer ornaments, one for each member of the family
 ,
a mug rug with mug and candle rug with candle and two snowmen made from wooden posts:
.
Also included were loads of candy and hot chocolate, a necklace, a pin, a game set, washi tape, which I love love love, pencil sharpeners and paper clips for my boys, along with some plastic rings they like to play treasure with, shower gel and my all time favorite part: Harry Potter wooden doll figurines for playing chess or anything else! I love them and can't wait to have some time to play with them with my boys (who also adore them and love asking who characters are (they are too young to have read them but know I talk about them often).

And here is the whole haul all together with stocking!

Thanks for spoiling me quaggy, everything was very appreciated and really made my spirit much brighter on a very terrible week.

I got mine this week! I was partnered with SevsOnlyGirl Smiley This is what it all looked like before the paper was ripped away! haha

I was open to receiving and unconventional "stocking" so she created a quilted blanket for me instead of a stocking! Check out all the different fabrics! Quilting is something I really admire and this is the first one I have ever owned. Pretty special Smiley

There were two customizable mugs, a ton of Nightmare Before Christmas figurines that will look fabulous on our NBC themed tree along with a two lightbulb ornaments, one NBC and the other is Lumpy Space Princess from Adventure Time!

This was the stocking she sent to hold all the goodies inside along with some other fun stuff, a paracord bracelet, Doctor Who theme key, mini flashlight, and some blinged up gloves!

Next is a lovely super soft pair of upcycled mittens (love the argyle!), a needle book, and a cute little santa ornament

Super soft purple with sparkle woven in knitted boot cuffs. They are so pretty and soft!

Thank you so much! I had a fun swap Smiley
