I was searching for and editing clip art for another Thanksgiving project and got the idea to put some turkeys on some gobblets for our Thanksgiving wine.  Gobbers + goblets = Gobblets!

I used Martha Stewart's decoupage medium in matte and a copper "metal leaf" paint pen.  I'd do some things differently knowing what I know now and I think I might want us to have these as part of our new Thanksgiving tradition, so I may remake them later. They're just dollar store glasses, so while cost is not the only factor in wastefulness that bothers me I may redo them anyway with the glossy decoupage medium and actual class paint.

I like the result, it changes from etching. Will they withstand many washings though?

The MS decoupage medium is supposed to be top-rack dishwasher safe after a 28-day cure.  It bled under the masking so my ovals were sloppy which is why I added the copper detail which may not be top-rack dishwasher safe.  This is the main reason I may redo them; one of the best benefits of using dollar store stemware is feeling good about washing them in the dishwasher.

You bet! If you live near a Michael's store, they sell it there.
