This took about.. 12-14 hours.. I was anxious and bored, couldn't sleep. I had just bought books from the Invisible Loom, and tried out a simple pattern. I had never made a shawl before. I used 24 pegs on my broken 36 peg (now a 35 peg with a missing peg) circle loom, and made this shawlette, with ruffles! The ruffles were done in short rows, and it was done in a garter stitch. A lot of repetition. I love it. What do you think? I'd share the pattern, but it was paid for.. so check out http://invisibleloomcraft.blogspot.ca/ for the loomers.

The yarn you chose for this is perfect. It almost looks like it's fur or something! Really cool shawl - it looks marvelous on you.

Thanks! Smiley I was looking through my (right now, meagre) stash and had that, so I used it.. the entire ball.. a super savers one, from believe it or not! Wal-mart..
So I changed that and spent $50 at Michael's later that day.
It was fun to do, and for a first shawl, pretty easy. I love the loom, it's so quick, and it's so surprising what you can do! A year ago all I could make were hats, scarves and socks!

Very interesting, but I would probably wear it the other way, like a bandana scarf. With the longer point in the front. I believe they usually call that a cowl. But you did a fine job, and I really like the ruffles!
