More great pages! I love this gallery already.

The embroidered circles make me think of sea shells.

Wulf that birch trees page is gorgeous!  Is it all embroidered or is some of it printed?

Playswithneedles, your two pages are gorgeous. I especially love the simplicity of the tree and the way the falling leaves can be reduced to mere Xs and still convey the image perfectly. And the idea of hand-sewing over top of a line of machine sewing makes my head explode a little bit; so many possibilities there!

The birch trees are only appliqué and embroidery. Well, sort of appliqué - really just strips of fabric held in place by the embroidered details.

I received from goatgodess today and it's beyond anything I expected! Thank you so much!
She also gave me some of the interfacing that she used on my page, I think I may try to make another one now  Grin
It's so beautiful, I can't wait to put it in my wedding/honeymoon journal! What a great swap!

Such beautiful pages so far!  I always love seeing the variety of talent here.  Cheesy

I received the other day from mandykaye and the holiday rush prevented me from getting back on until today.

She really did a fantastic piece!!! I absolutely love it!

My favorite parts are the beads and the metallic threading, and the stick woven in, and the batik fabric, and, well, - all of it!

Thank you soo much, mandykaye- I hope you love your just as much.

I received from Rosie1981 yesterday evening! It was a little too dark outside to get a few good photos so I waited until this morning! There is actually something funny about my page…

Yesterday morning I was out running errands and for some reason in the car I was thinking about my Senior Yearbook and the quote I chose to go under my Senior portrait… Don't ask why that came to mind but I am 8 months pregnant so that could be part of it… Anyway I chose a quote from Mulan the Disney movie about a flower blooming in adversity… I thought how silly my fellow classmates thought I must have been for choosing a Disney movie quote… I went to a small school with a Senior class of 23! So I laughed to myself in the car and thought oh well… and didn't think about it again…

Then my Journal Page arrived….

I never mentioned this quote anywhere! She said she chose it because we are both going to have babies early next year and will both be raising 2 girls… and thought this was appropriate for me as a mom! Can you believe it??!! She chose the same quote! I guess I didn't chose too bad after all in Senior year!

Thanks so much! I LOVE the flag and how I had just been thinking about that quote yesterday! She also sent this awesome little bunting! I am going to put it up in the baby's room and then add it to her baby book!
