It's been awhile since I made a stuffed animal.  I made this bear to test out a pattern.  I made Patches from various fabrics I had on hand. I can't believe, even after all these years of making stuffed animals, I still managed to mess up on this bear a couple of times.  I had to make the head and ears twice.  Sigh.  It didn't help that every time I sat down to work on the bear, somebody (like my husband) just had to badger me about something. Even after I did the yard work, and had earned some sit down, leave me alone, don't badger me about anything, sewing time.  This bear is excellent for babies, toddlers, and small children.  All parts are caught in the seams w/my sewing machine.  He is so cute w/his chubby face and belly, and long arms just wonderful for little hands to carry with.  I used plastic safety eyes that cannot be pulled or chewed off, and sewed on a felt nose.

Thank you elderflower.  Now that the, "Secret Toy Society" is back up and running, I will most likely make him a toy drop.

Thank you Sharalee.  I didn't completely drop off the face of Craftster.  I popped in every now and again. Had a lot going on that needed my complete attention and focus.

Patches has some fun fabrics on him. He turned out cute. I am glad you were able to push through the distractions and share him.
