I made this little holiday decoration for a friend, using a strip of silk velvet ric rac, old buttons, cabochons, and little mini vintage tart tins that I added images to and filled with resin and mica flakes.

Very vintag-y and interesting. I would have liked to see a size reference in the photo {most people in USA use a quarter to photograph beside the image...gives an idea of the scale of things}. I am guessing that the pie tins are about quarter-sized, though. Very detailed. I like the various elements, and how you arranged them on the ric-rack. I like the mica flakes, too. It sort of ages the photos, and makes them...well, I don't know...vintag-y. Grin
Nice job! I hope your friend is pleased, and places it in a prominent area of the home. This could be used year round. Say, in the powder room?

Thanks! I don't have it anymore for new pics, but the tins are toy sizes, maybe 2-3 inches? I considered using them to make brooches. I may do that if I run across more of that size.

Brooches would be lovely! The tins with the vintage images & mica are my favorite part!
