Hello, I have been search all over the internet on guides or tutorial on cutting an aluminum soda can in half lengthwise *Click link for example pic* I have found plenty of how-tos on cutting horizontally and some lengthwise but cutting the top and bottom off. I wanna cut straight down the middle with top and bottom intact. I have a craft project I wanna work on that would use a soda can half. Anyone have suggestions or how-to on getting it cut like this ??

I would cut two identical cans in half and use one half of each rather than try to cut one can perfectly in half. This way you could attack it from the middle and trim until you had a smoothly cut half. Then do the other.

Fill it full of water and then freeze it? If you then saw it in half on a cold day you could probably get it done before it thawed too much to keep firm.
