A charming little elf. I think he has a kind of wistful expression.

I think he looks cute. Not sad, but perhaps surprised that Santa is missing? He is a young elf, and does not quite understand Christmas, yet  Grin Quite lovely. I love the candy cane stripes. Great color choices, all the way around! I hope you nestle him in your tree, or peek him out from a stocking? He is darling. There, I named him for you..."Darling Dan, the Elf Man"  Cheesy Name him what you like, but that just sounded funny.

Sad. It's the upper eyelids, giving the impression of sagging eye corners. That reads as "sad". Furthermore, you gave him two highlights in the eyes, both of them looking rather oval than round. That, too, translates as "sad" in human eyes (in fact, it translates to wet eyes like in "swimming in tears").
But he's cute nevertheless, but if you want him to get rid of that sad look, you'll have to change these.

Just a quick example: get rid of one highlight per eye, make highlights rounded, get rid of "eyelids" and accentuation:

I disagree with Lettersalad. I don't think he needs a thing changed, a bit. Sorry Salad. But he looks adorable.

I want him! Just leave him outside your doorstep, and guess who will be missing in the morning??? Just kidding. But I think he looks super sweet. Reminds me of those cartoon/animation Christmas shows.

@Stillatthetop: I didn't say he NEEDED a change. I just explained why people may see him as sad and how to alter that. I did not want anybody to see that a a command.

Oh, sweetie...no worries. I just didn't want the crafter to feel like things were wrong.
Good suggestions are always welcome on any of my pages. I consider them, and appreciate help.
But I know how hard tearing things apart are, and I just think he is adorable the way he is.
Perhaps she will take your suggestions to heart for another stab at another adorable guy {or girl}?
Yup. He needs a girlfriend...and why is there only one girl Smurf???  Grin

Thank you very much everyone for your opinions, they are very precious to me.
Lettersalad, I think you are right and I appreciate your advice very much. Please do not argue because of me, honestly all your words are welcome  because they help me to improve.
I know that all your comments are well-meaning thats why I asked here, despite the language barrier (I'm Spanish)  Roll Eyes
My niece has already hung him near the entrance of the house  Grin but for now he will not have a girlfriend, because he is a baby  Wink
Thank you again, Im so glad you liked him.

My son is 8, and has a gal pal! And she is sweet. That is how itsy-bitsy people learn! He is so sweet, and loves the ladies, and very polite! He even holds my door. Often.
I want to see the girlfriend...so get on your horse and ride, baby cakes!  Grin
Make her up for May, in a cute dress, and something with a kitchen theme? Apron? Spoon? Just suggestions. I hope you find time. I would love to see it.
