Ive had so much fun looking at all the poppet swaps on here, I wanted to have a go. But in true "PESTY" style, I wanted to make sure I pulled in some up-cycling.
Belinda is made from a pair of womens trousers (They were truly vile to be fair), her dress is made from an old napkin which I dyed - and her hair was a very bright jumper with a few additions from my own collection of yarn.
her wings are wet felted, then the felt soaked in a PVA/Water blend then dried in the oven.
I love her to pieces, however second time round Im going to do the feet a little differently.

LATEST project - I'm compiling a "handed down" recipes boom and so if I get you in a swap, would you be so kind to find a recipe from your childhood. type it up - if you want to decorate, then please do :

There was a woman who felted
And felted all day long

She is lovely - you make me want to try my hand at a poppet, too!

So the hair is a jumper that you unraveled?  And that's what gives it the curly texture?  That's brilliant!

Scholars and artists...differ most importantly in the way their knowledge is come by.  Scholars get theirs with conscientious thoroughness along projected lines of logic; poets...stick to nothing deliberately, but let what will stick to them like burrs where they walk in the fields.

I love her! Her hair is just perfect, and I love how you did her face and wings.
