I traveled a lot and bought this men's size small hoody in Amsterdam as a souvenir. It was so awkward, I never ever wore it....but I couldn't throw it away either.

I cut off the hood, the sleeve ends, picked out the stitching for the kangaroo pocket and cut it off along the side seams. Then I put a fitted long sleeve shirt over the inside-out hoody and pinned around the edges. I used a zig zag stitch from the bottom all the way to the end of the sleeves, stitching just inside my pin markings. I wanted it really fitted. I tried it on and then trimmed the excess. I folded the front of the hoody in half and cut out a wider neckline and zig zag stitched around that. The whole thing probably took me less than 20 minutes, but I spent a long time staring at it in the mirror and thinking, lol. Over all, I am stoked about my "new" shirt. This is why I never throw away clothes!

That's awesome! I never would have guessed it used to be a hoodie. It looks great.

Great "new" shirt, doesn't look like a recon at all.
