Thought I'd mention that The Spice & Tea Exchange is having free shipping from Friday - Monday.

And Harney & Sons has 20% off your entire purchase with when you use the code TEADAY13.  You can also get a free pumpkin spice tin (20 sachets) "with every purchase."  And I just saw that my favorite tea comes in decaf so I'll be right on that...

I was thinking back about what got me into to drinking tea when I was a kid and remembered it was those little ceramic figurines that came in boxes of Red Rose tea! http://www.redrosetea.com/figurines.aspx
I used to collect them, I think they are probably still in a box somewhere in my parents house. Does anyone remember those?

As far as swapping....I already have a bunch of ideas for my partner!!! Grin

I had a whole bunch of those at one point, but they have had a less than genteel existence, so many are less than pristine!  But I loved finding that little treasure in the box of tea.  We usually had Chinese brands of tea, but I loved lemon tea growing up and my grandparents bought Red Rose to make the lemon tea with.

Oh yes, and one tea memory just came to mind.  We were at my grandparents one summer, and I was maybe 4 or 5 years old.  My brother was maybe 10, and we were left alone in the farmhouse to play for awhile one morning.  I was playing with my baby doll, and usually my brother wants nothing to do with playing with me or my dolls, but that day he decided it would be fun to feed the dolly with me.  He took some used tea bags, tore them open and we took turns feeding the shredded tea leaves to my dolly.... In my grandmother's living room... with the light beige carpet.... and light fabric chairs....

She was less than impressed... but the good thing is that she knew exactly who to blame Wink

All right, I have a large project picked out for partner #1.  And possibly a small if I have time.  Now I need to think about what to do for #2...

I can't wait to get back home and really start planning crafts! But to add to the seasonal tea-related deals (at least for US residents): did anyone else notice that World Market is giving away Downton Abby teacups tomorrow for Black Friday? They have a good selection of tea, too, so I might be picking up some samples while I'm there Grin

Ooh, what do Downton Abbey teacups look like? That sounds quite delightful.
