I made this shadowbox for ohiodiygirl for the latest Labyrinth swap.

I found a nice big picture of a page from the Return to Labyrinth manga, colored it, added some flat back crystals, and glued it to the back of the box.  that was the easiest part.  Roll Eyes

I then took all of the wooden slats that give the box depth and covered them with layers of Mod Podge and pebbles as well as a ceiling decoration (held on by TONS of E6000) and even a glass orb.  the last step was to put the whole thing together...only to find out that a lot of the pebbles were in the way.  so I broke of as many as I could and took sandpaper to the ones that wouldn't budge.

after driving myself crazy trying to figure out how to make Toby and Moppet (the 2 dimensional people) dimensional, I got them glued into place before adding the pebbles.

my favorite part was the frame.  Mod Podge, tissue paper, Mod Podge, tissue paper, Mod Podge, tissue paper, Mod Podge, spray-on clear paint.  4 layers of Mod Podge and 3 of tissue paper.  it was a good thing I had that new jar of Mod Podge on hand.  but I did run out of tissue paper only to have my mom get a gift with purple and white tissue paper in the bag.  Grin  so I stole it.  why throw it when I can make use of it?

whatcha think?  Smiley

lol.  trust me.  I expect that a lot of people will start humming the music or reciting lines once they look at this.  Wink  and this is basically from that scene.  it's Moppet and teenage Toby looking at a statue of Jareth and baby Toby.  Smiley

this makes me want to use the second one to make the ballroom scene (that was my favorite part).  hmmm...the wheels are turning...

and thanks!  Grin

Of course! I enjoy everything you made me. Smiley I use the book to display badges that my husband makes me. He knows that I am driven by achievements and he has a list of older games that he wants me to play. So as I accomplish certain things I earn tangible achievements. Cheesy
