I needed something for my 3 year old to wear on Thanksgiving this year, and what's better than a turkey? My husband doesn't like the braids, I think they are adorable (he thinks that they make it too girly). But since I make it, they're on there Smiley

I used the pattern here - http://stitch11.com/gobble-gobble/ except I did an extra row of hdc in yellow around the bottom. I also didn't have any buttons, so I just did the black part of the eyes in yarn too. He likes it and has been running around saying "Gobble, Gobble!" since he put it on Smiley

Beware the Platypirates and their tri-corner hats.

This is really awesome! And your husband can chill, a couple of yarn braids aren't going to make anyone question your 3-year-old's masculinity.

Haha! Fun! I don't think the braids are too girly...they look like festive straps to me. My boy likes it & he's 9.

That's a fun hat!
Would your husband be happier if you shortened them a bit? Although, I like it the way it is.

Thanks for the compliments. My husband is really fine with it either way, he just likes to give me a hard time about it. He walks around wearing a Finn from Adventure Time hat so he can't really complain lol
