Some friends of my husband's were doing a fundraiser recently and I offered to donate a quilt as a raffle prize. I wanted to do something in fairly neutral colours as I didn't know who would win it and what their tastes/decor might be. I determined I had an absurb amount of brown and green fabrics, so I went with those as my primary colours and a cream as the background.

I used the Tilting Four Patch block from Quilter's Cache. Being lazy, and more importantly not owning a printer, I didn't print the triangle template and just kind of winged it. That probably made it take a little longer than it otherwise would have, but I got it done in about two weeks. I did very simple quilting, just lines through the squares.

Here's the quilt:

And the kitty-approved backing:

Nice quilt.  At first I thought the backing was corduroy!

I have boxes of vintage piano music.  Some as old as 1890's!  PM me if you'd like some!

Wow that looks great! I love the patterns and the neutral colors are a good choice since you don't know who will win the raffle. It's safer to choose neutral colors. Great job! Smiley

It is really great. I love the colours, and the pattern makes it so lively. Lucky winner of the raffle.

This is such a fun pattern. It's neat on the thumbnail you can really see the secondary design of the white diamond shapes!

I love the negative space. That's what I saw foremost in the thumbnail. The choice of colors is lovely, too. The prints remind me of a blanket I would keep in my cabin in the woods, if I had a cabin in the woods. Dang, now you have me day dreaming.
