Yay, mine has arrived from cmarion3!! here it is all wrapped up

Cats in winter and winter farm scene themes are combined here.

Closeup of kitty...

Hidden words and lots of texture on this one. I wish I could remember the name of the board she used as a backing. It is the same board used in pegboards, for hanging tools and such on those little hooks. Seeing it again takes me back to when I was a kid.  It is nice and heavy so cats cannot pull it off the tree easily.
Thank you, cmarion3! It is awesome!

Masonite is the name of the incredibly hard stuff. Basically sawdust and some kind of binder! Usefull for cat proof ornaments.

Blupaisan did you find the inchie houses in the package? Might still be stuck inside. Have fun.

The texture looks amazing, and I love that you wrapped it! (wish I had thought of that! *^_^* )
I like how you see that it's winter even though there is no (almost no?) snow. Great job!

It's layers and layers. I painted the sky and the foreground i painted white. Then layers of torn paper from an old book. Then a layer of torn natural coffee filters. Then the graphics, some crazy netting stuff with gold threads and some paint. Then.....torn dryer sheets. Some watered down metalic paint. Lots of gel medium in this layering. And so on. The hardest part was waiting for all to dry between layers. I did 12 at once. All different. Whew.

I am glad you are enjoying it!

onyxnox sent me not one, but three lovely pieces...

the ATC is from a 1940s magazine christmas cover. Right up my alley, this vintage! I am going to hunt around the local thrift shops for a vintage-looking yarn or somesuch to add to it for hanging.
Up close...

the home itsself is lovely, but I am even more fascinated by the trees out back.

Larger tags, ready to hang...

these are on my vintage ornament theme. so much detail. They are able to glow against a tree light, as the ornament images themselves are not of the heavy paper around them.
Also incredible for this see-thru technique...

A glowing moon!!  Just stunning!!  Even in the daylight and off a tree, it is mesmerizing! And the subtle colors and much 3d effect on this one is just wonderful.
I am wondering if the accompanying card...

is also by her pen or a pre-printed thing with her color added.   ?  anyway, it's cute and retro!

Onyxnox, let me know if anything is missing... the envie arrived completely slittted at the end, with the stuff litterally spilling out. According to your list, it seems like it is all here. don't know if they were looking for controlled substances at the CA/US border (um, like, mica powder? (-;) or a terrorist threat (Canadians are gonna hold all US embroidery hostage!!)

thanks so much for great work and paying great attention to what I like.

What a lovely ATC!  It's so pretty - and I love those trees.

The larger tags are awesome, too!  What a fun technique.

That's the funny thing - I wanted to make a version of that cover just because I loved the way the trees looked behind the house too!  They had that desolate wintry look that made me think of the woods around my parents house on their farm when I was a kid, and I loved looking out at those barren snow covered trees and suddenly seeing a bright red cardinal, or a fluffy bunny rabbit.

I had so much fun making all three of those, I had to send all three off!  The card however is stampings that I coloured Cheesy

Hmmmm - well, I am from Toronto, and apparently our so-called crack smoking mayor has been in the news all over the world now - so maybe they were thinking I was shipping off illegal substances Wink

I received from blupaisan too and it is an adorably cute elf.  I love the layout of the card, and the details in the corners.

Look at that mischievous expression on his face!
