Its been awhile since I made this for the Back to Hogwarts swap but I am finally getting around to making my own post  Smiley

I found a 6-sided wood box at the thrift store and bought it planning to make it into a chocolate frog box.  It had a birdhouse and flowers painted on the top.  I painted the outside a pretty metalic blue and the inside a bright yellow (I removed the hinges and latch before painting).  I studied pictures of the real chocolate frog boxes and then put my gold paint pen to work!

That was a lot of work and hard to not smudge it.  But the hardest part was the wording on the top, I re-did it several times to get it even and centered.
Next I made a chocolate frog out of brown fabric.

He is stuffed with fiber-fill and plastic beads so he is a little floppy.  I added brown felt spots on his back and button eyes.

I need to find another box like that so I can make one for myself too!

You did an awesome job!

One tip for stuffing the frog: use dry uncooked rice.
We made frogs like this back in school in the seventies (yep, that's how old I am) and filled them with rice. That way they have some more weight and you can make them sit.

Awwww... This makes me remember when I was little and my mom would make fabric frogs and, yep, stuff them with rice.  I had so much fun posing and playing with them.
