This costume started its life as a sheet from a thrift shop and altogether only cost me $2 to make since I had most of the supplies on hand. ($1 for the sheet, $1 for the elastic in the waistband.)
The pattern was my own and was drawn on newspaper. I was going to enter it in the costume contest but decided against it because I only have this photo and can't get anyone to help me get more.

Lovely costume that did not break the bank! Beautiful color too!
You did a great job on the pants, these are quite difficult to make.

Thanks Cheesy The thrift shop had the blue sheet I used for this and a couple white ones. I can't keep white things white so I went with the blue.
The pants were actually the easiest part. I was trying to make a belly dance top but kept messing it up and went with a simple top instead. It looks a bit odd in this photo because it was made to wear over a sleeveless tanktop (couldn't have an exposed midriff at work).

Thanks Cheesy
I'm hoping to make other things from my own pattern in the future Grin
