Despite my limited sewing abilities, I made my soon-to-be baby daughter a monster bonnet!  Why?  Why the heck not?!

I got the fabric for super cheap at Hancock's in the clearance area.  I have so much of it left, too!  I found a tutorial on how to make a reversible baby bonnet online here.  It was a fabulous tutorial and I might make some more regular ones using it sometime soon.  For this project, though, I pretty much just used it for the base part of the bonnet, and not for the ties.  I just used some nice ribbons that sewed onto the outside and then covered with felt, because I'm ghetto and messed up sewing in the ribbons.  It has the fake fur on the outside and then just some black cotton for the lining.  So, despite being a novice sewer, I accomplished this, which is an amazing feat for someone who cannot follow patterns.  Though I had to ask my mom a million questions while I was doing it.  ^_^  After the bonnet was put together, I added the horns out of felt.  I don't know if I like the horns that much, they turned out a little bigger than I wanted.  Oh well, its still cute.  ^_^  Our baby is due 9/10, so she will be able to wear this during the winter to keep her little head warm.  She'll be such a cute little monster!

Thanks for looking!

Oh, and a bonus picture of my husband modeling it.  Looks good, huh!  ^_^
