Hello from the Zuckerman's, er the Zimmer's Halloween.

Here is a smorgasbord-orgasbord-orgasbord of photos of our homemade (and all upcycled) costumes:

Here we have Charlotte, Wilbur, and Templeton from Charlotte's Web, inspired by the 1973 film, which my four year-old, Charlotte, has been watching without end since her birthday this summer.  Not a great photo but totally "t-double e-double r-double r-double i-double f-double i-double c-c-c" costumes, if I do say so myself! Yes, I am that "humble." "Zuckerman's Famous Pig," Wilbur, started with the head, made entirely of a milk jug with some pink paint and goggly eyes.  Then, I found some overalls at a thrift store, which I dyed pink and paired with pink shirt, pink leggings, and pink Chuck Taylors.  A curly tail was also made from milk jug.

Salutations! Here is Charlotte A. Cavatica.  She sure is "some spider." Her web is hand-made from old wire hangers, some tulle, some ribbon, and some old tights.  Here web tutu is an old tutu redone with black tulle and machine-sewn spider webs.  And the spider body is a gray shirt with six extra legs (old tights) attached.  My daughter thought Charlotte needed some spider eyes, so we glued vase pebbles to a headband.

"Chin up, everybody!" Templeton the rat will revive the fainting Wilbur: "Crunchy!" Templeton's costume came from an old hat in my husband's closet covered in a gray garage-sale t-shirt with some of the leftover milk jug from Wilbur shaping the snout.  A ball of left-over tights from Charlotte's arms made the perfect nose, while rectangles of milk jug made the teeth and colored strips of the same milk jug made excellent whiskers.  Wire with leftover gray t-shirt sewn around ended this family tail (tale).
