This is my son's Halloween costume this year, I made the whole thing for him, including the sword and shield. The boots, belt and hair are felt, tunic and hat are cotton, undershirt and pants are knit and the sword and shield are craft foam.

I hadn't worked with Knit in a while so the undershirt and pants were an interesting project (don't forget to use the stretch stitch on neck openings!), but the rest was pretty simple. The boot coverings had a strap underneath to help hold them down through the evening and they worked like a charm.

He had such a great time, telling everyone he was going to "Defeat Gandalf" haha.
