So I got a pretty good deal on an old White serger with all the pieces and even the manual with the original receipt from 1985. Or so I thought. I only paid $15 for it from Goodwill. But now I can't seem to get the tension right. I tried using the pictures in the book of the most common tension problems but nothing is working. I'm at my wits end with this thing. Anyone have this machine or the same problem with a different machine? I took it apart and cleaned it but I haven't oiled it yet. Would that help? I just want to make a crossbody bag. I already bought the fabric and cut out all the pieces for it.
