Yule Present and a Card swap
The Swap Gallery (link to come)

The festival of Yule marks the lowest point on the Wheel of the Year. The days have been growing shorter until the night has triumphed over daylight, winter weather is truly here now, and much of the plant and animal world has died or withdrawn from view. But we greet the Winter Solstice not with gloom and dread but with celebration! It is a time of parties, feasts, family gatherings, colourful lights and decorations, music and above all, the sharing of presents. As we exchange presents with family and friends, let's also share handmade gifts among our WWP family.
(thanks Wulf for the lovely text from last year Wink )

For this swap, send your partner a handmade, gift-wrapped present to be opened on Yule (December 21st). You also need to craft a handmade card with your holiday greetings. You may also include other items (made or purchased) for your partner's children or other family members if you like, but you should discuss it with your partner first.

Some information on the Sabbat: https://www.circlesanctuary.org/index.php/celebrating-the-seasons/winter-solstice

To participate, complete this questionnaire, and PM it to the organizer, MamanTattoo. Participants must post in the swap thread at least once a week, and maintain regular communication with their partners. Sharing the package you've received with everyone else is an important part of swapping, please post photos in the Swap Gallery. If you won't be able to for some reason, be sure to let your partner know early so they can take photos before sending.

Every year I decorate my home. A tree, garland over the windows, wreaths on doors, and boughs over the doorways. I was brought up Catholic and am of Mexican descant. But I don't really celebrate the Nativity or Holy family. I don't even own one. I was brought up Catholic but never really accepted. I (both my husband and I ) feel "Christmas Time" is for family, whether you're together or not. I am not really a pagan because I don't worship or hold one deity over another. I love the lore but can't really say I believe. I wanted to join the Vintage Christmas Swap but I don't even has any pins on my pinterest for it and I didn't want to just start pinning whatever . I've lived in San Diego all my life. One of the reasons of moving to Colorado when my husband retires next year is that I would love to see and celebrate  the "changing of the seasons" and get closer to nature.I don't know if that makes me pagan or not. Do you think I will fit in?

I think you would fit in just fine! I can't speak for everyone, but nature is the basis of my spirituality. I am eclectic, meaning, I take different things from different beliefs or religions that speak to me. I don't like to conform to any specific set of "rules". As long as you are open-minded and let your partner know your beliefs there should be no problem! We are all pretty easy to get along with!  Wink Yule is a very universal holiday.

Yes Angie! Welcome here in the land of openness and acceptation Wink
Like Mandie, my main area of worship is nature, season, everything that's all around. Then we human created names for it, either be the Goddess or Gaa or Mother Earth or wathever. The principle is the same: know, love and respect yourself, know, love and respect the other and everything that is. Cheesy If you strive to get there, then you're in the right place!

org notes: Yay! lots of people already! I'll update later, for now I have to make Iron Man and a Mermaid out of a wine cork!
