Started as a battered wooden bible box from the thrift store.

The sides have a daubed on layer of black screenprinting ink, and then some antique gold rub n'buff. Screenprinting ink takes a few days to dry, but it's just perfec for some things.

The inside is scrapbook paper, flocked ribbon, and a little more gold rub and buff.

Leaf close up.

Real leaves, foil, rub n' buff, spray paint, three shades of luminere acrylic paint, and glaze. And old gift cards. ^^

I love this, so much texture, and just the right amount of colour.  I like how old this looks.

thanks!
glue leaf down, glue cheap tinfoil down, use your fingers to emboss it down well, light burst of black spray paint, gold rub 'n buff, start painting and blending the background-I used indigo, a soft green, and a maroonish purple. maybe a tiny bit more rub n buff, then sealer. I've used a diamond glaze.
