Hanging out in the woods

So my youngest this year wanted to be a bear - - - - yes I know, this is not a bear its a wolf.....
As you may or may not be aware, I am queen of charity shop hunting (that's thrift store for those of you over the pond), and so with a little change in our pocket out we went.

The first store we came to, we found one of those revolting chenille fluffy scarves that is a tube. - I wondered if it would fit over Ebbons head to make his bear fur - but as soon as we put it on, we both thought "Its a Wolf head !!!!"

And so we continued on our hunt and in a particularly well stocked charity shop we came across a grey and white wool felt skirt !!!!!! But at 10 it was just a little over budget - with a little haggling and a promise of a photo we got them down to 5 (which was a snip, I have to say it was a gorgeous skirt!)

Back at home, with a bit of snipping and sewing, - - from the skirt came a pair of wolf trousers - the ears, and some furry cuffs. From the scarf came a hat and a tail.

On the night, I rediscovered my love of facepainting and may I present my very cute little wolf Smiley
