Hello.  I am a room mom in my son's class this year.  I have been working on making games for his class party.  There are so many wonderful ideas but as always-  what I thought would take a few hours to create, has taken far longer.  I love the cute games that resulted but it started me thinking that maybe there was a better way... A Swap.  Here is what I am thinking...If you are going to be making a game for preschool or elementary school age children make a double and swap the extra.  This way it cuts down on your busy schedule figuring out how best to make additional games and gives you more time to create a great one and gives you extra time to enjoy the season.  The activity would need to be able to be played by a group of5-6 children. ( I am thinking of how we split the class into groups and they rotate between games).  It would be a great swap for room mom's, teachers, homeschoolers,  grandparents, etc.   Anyone who loves to throw Kids parties.  Each participant would create a list of at least 4 seasons, holidays or themes that they would love.
some ideas:
Halloween (for next year of course)
Thanksgiving
Autumn theme
Christmas ( denoting whether you want it religious or general santa, etc)
Winter theme
Valentines
Spring
Easter
4th of July
Then the partner creates 1 medium game/ activity.  It needs to be complete- so say if something involves candy and is for Halloween next year..the candy would be stale and that game would not work.  The idea is to have it all set to play.  I will try my best to match up people that choose the same holidays themes so you can use it yourself and send a duplicate.
Any interest in something like this?  Any ideas or changes? Feel free to contribute your thoughts. For 1 medium would a 3 week crafting length be doable?
