Oh my great goodness Anana makes the cutest little wizard ever!!!

Meanwhile, Georgie helped me set up the book scanner in my office, which is a super-exciting thing even though it may seem otherwise. Without this thing, I would have needed to type in over 200 11-digit bar code numbers to take books down from the displays and put up new ones (photos of the new displays are forthcoming).

SO EXCITING. Also I can annoy my coworkers with the incessant "beep... beep... beep..." coming from my office. Also fun.

I thought this picture would turn out better - Hubby and I took Wuudy out to see the Christmas lights in historic downtown Ellicott City, Maryland. It was a bit cold but Wuudy didn't seem to mind.

We're supposed to get snow tomorrow, Apti is excited by the idea, I am not so much... we have a performance (two, actually) right when the weather is supposed to get icky.  Hopefully we won't get stuck on a road anywhere!

We took Jimmie to a Christmas sing-along concert with THE local band. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures during the concert since it was broadcasted so we only got a before picture

Here you can watch the concert http://www.ardmediathek.de/das-erste/gott-und-die-welt/lieder-zum-advent?documentId=18652370

I'll swap for postcards, badges, maps or brochures from everywhere in the US! I'm an English teacher and always happy about authentic material for my classroom.

The Poses have been helping me putting up some decorations, and like sitting in the middle of the advent wreath (but only if it's not lighted!! Wink ).

Still playing a bit of catch-up. My shop orders exploded this month so I've been so busy doing nothing but that when I'm home for weeks. Now that all the due-by-Christmas packages are shipped, I can finally edit some photos and get them posted! Grin

Love did the Jingle Bell Run which takes place at night throughout Downtown St. Pete. Since it wasn't a 5am kinda thing, I went to support him. I got there early and got photos of the area then some more after sunset with the race and such.

The now closed Pier out on the water. This was basically the view from the parking lot if it gives you any idea of what a pretty area Downtown is!

No trip downtown is complete without a visit to the famous banyan trees!

The Pier in the distance, a sailboat drifts by and the moon is visible in the top left as the sun sets.

Some of the many yachts docked down there.

The starting line for the run.

Lots and lots of people!

The park all lit up at night. It was so pretty!

Love's brother invited us to be in a parade. His girlfriend owns a mold removal business and participates in a local business parade each year. All kinds of local businesses bring decorated trucks, flatbeds, floats and such and toss candy and beads. It goes down a major street which is closed for the day for people to line up and watch.

I've seen parades but I've never been in one so Love and I said, "sure!" when he asked if we wanted to be in it with them.

I got to ride on the back of the truck tossing candy and beads. Love walked along side the truck. It was A LOT of work and man, my arm was SORE throwing out hundreds of beads. But it was super fun!

Here's the view of the back of the truck. We had folding chairs to sit in and boxes and boxes of candy and beads!

All the participants are assigned numbers and they line up along the road in their designated area.

I only managed to get two shots during the actual parade as it was HECTIC and FRENZIED but fun. I was surprised how many people there were!

After having been gone from Craftster for quite some time, I was thinking about this swap, I'm so happy to see that it's still going on! Smiley I am hoping to join this again for the summer swap!  Sadly, I think I will be retiring Fred and George, maybe not, I haven't decided 100% yet, but I am leaning towards making or finding a new friend to use.
Everyone looks like they are having so much fun! I can't wait to see more Cheesy

Wow, that's awesome that Willow got to be in a parade Smiley And I LOVE the banyan trees. If only they weren't so darn big, he could bring one home as a souvenir! lol

I didn't get many photos in Skagway Sad The day after we arrived it started snowing and the winds picked up and it stayed that way the entire visit. It stayed around 20F but when you added the wind chill from 30-40 mph winds and 60mph gusts it was just too cold to go explore with my two year old in tow.

We had fun on the ferries though Smiley

We left Sitka at 6am on the MV Taku, which is one of the smaller ferries-

Here is Clyde watching the islands go by -
