Despite us not celebrating Thanksgiving here in the UK hubby and I have grown quite fond of Pumpkin Pies and Sweet potato pies. With Thursdays being one of our 2 "fast days" though, we couldn't have any then, but made up for it today.

Adi & A.D. loved the fact we had something else American (bar the football games they've been to) for them during their stay here! Smiley

The next couple of days will get very busy, and on Wednesday the Poses will board a plane to Germany with us! Smiley

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving (being in the UK), so it's been a standard week for Bean and I. I was quite surprised to learn that Black Friday has apparently become "a thing" over here now - apparently lots of Asda stores (one of our major supermarket chains, which is owned by Walmart) had people going crazy over discounted electrical products, with people even getting injured and having to go to hospital (which is virtually unheard of)!

Today I discovered a really cool place that I want to take Bean to next week, so hopefully after a quiet couple of weeks we've got something more exciting coming up!

Playing catch-up a bit....

Thanksgiving
It was just Love and I. We made a small, breast-only turkey (neither of us likes dark meat) and had a yummy dinner at home.

Post Thanksgiving Shopping
And then today, we braved The Mall and a few other stores since we had some errands to run. I didn't bring my DSLR (a lot of stores get touchy about big cameras) so these are just cellphone pics (hence the lackluster quality)

Elves walking in the mall

Turns out the elves and helpers were advertising "Christmas Town" at Busch Gardens Tampa.

Tomorrow or Monday, we're going Christmas Tree shopping! Yay! So he can help us pick out a tree. I promise we'll be doing more interesting things soon. (Like we'll be heading to Disney in the next weekend or two which means AWESOME Christmas decorations and surprises!)

So many good pictures showing up! I've been super busy. I started a new job.  I guess that means I need to take my LV to work with me... Cheesy

Georgie was a great help putting up the Christmas tree! Here he is showing off the finished product (so far... I tend to find more ornaments as I get closer to Christmas):

Lots more decorating to do! Plus, Christmas crafting is coming! (I'm so late starting this year.)

happy December, everyone!

Q: what December holiday(s) do you celebrate?

A: I am a huge Christmas dork, so I'm super excited about Christmas (especially once our school concerts are finished in the next two weeks- bleh.). I also have a special place in my life for solstice.

And, just an update on Gramayre... He wanted to come along to a gig on the other side of the island last week.  We got some yummy tacos on the way!

We celebrate a non-religious (secular) Christmas and I personally also observe Solstice.

And since it IS December, today we cleared out space and moved a bunch of stuff around to make room for the tree!

And Willow got a jump start on some of the lights.

Graduate looks healthy and more importantly happy =) I hope he is behaving. Anuenue forgot to remind me to put my laptop on today so still no photos I'm afraid. Soon hopefully!!

We celebrate Christmas but non religiously (we believe it is time to enjoy being with loved ones) we also celebrate my husbands birthday and are going to the Harry Potter studio as his present so that will be a good day out for her!
