It's not set in stone, but I may be going somewhere in Feb that I've wanted to go to for about 13 years and I can probably bring Poppy... We will have to see Wink

Sounds exciting! Any hints on where it is or do you want to keep it a surprise?

It involves the location of a set of a movie I love. That's all I'm saying xD

Also, poppy came with me to watch Thor yesterday too since my niece (3) and nephew(7) wanted to see it with their dad. But she hid for the scary bits and came out to watch the pretty bits  Wink

the pretty bits being Loki? my husband is getting so jealous of my crush on Loki but I can't help it. He wouldn't go see it with me yet because he had never seen avengers. I finally got him to watch that one today. Too bad no Wuudy yet or I could take him to 'Loki the Dark World' tomorrow err I mean Thor.

I think, as Loki fans, the way Dark World ended, it's pretty assured that there's a Loki film in the future

Last night was my undergraduate alma mater's Homecoming! (My graduate alma mater played LSU last night, but that is less relevant, as we didn't attend that game...)

(Most of the photos turned out awful... nighttime, with football lights, and freezing cold so my hands shook? Not the best photographic conditions.)

We won! 24-7! Yay!

aloha! It's time once again for our Question of the Week!

Q: what is your favorite thing to do on a day off from school/work/usual activities?

(Remember, weekly check-ins are required.  If I have not seen you in the thread since last Sunday, you will be receiving a friendly reminder from me momentarily Smiley

A: on a day off, I really enjoy hiking! Sadly, husby and I rarely have a day off together. (Like, extremely rarely-- maybe 3-4 days a year). Aside from that, of course I love da beach and paddle boarding, and making stuff.

Ah... day off ... not really existing with 2 year old twin girls ... Wink I get usually one day a week off when the inlaws are not on holiday (including a sleepover!), but those days are usually used to catch up with housework and decluttering.

I DO like crafting/reading though, or just catching up with TV.

Right now I'm just taking "Time for myself" (however I fill it) as my answer. LOL.

I work 7 days a week at 2 jobs... I sometimes forget what a "day off" is! But when I DO get days off, I normally spend them at home, making a valiant effort at catching up on chores. It's one reason I love doing the LV swaps... they give me a reason to say, "The laundry and vacuuming can wait! I need to go see a historic house or a museum or public works of art!"

But my FAVORITE thing to do if I have enough time not at work is going to the Aquarium. It's where our wedding will be in March! I never make a trip there without petting the rays; they're the best.
