In case any of you also use Shutterfly, I noticed they have a New Years promotion for 101 free prints. It ends Monday and the code is NY101 Just in case it helps anyone out Smiley I went ahead and ordered all the photos I've taken already so I can get a head start on the scrapbook. That's one of my big goals this year - get more organized!

So...we are stuck sitting in Walmart waiting on a new tire. We got to Busch Gardens to take Willow around for a tour and had a flat tire. Sad One can of fix a flat later we had to high tail it back home to make it before they closed. We'll have to try again another day.

Darn it. I took a photo but its giving me an error trying to upload it so I'll get it posted when I get home. Suffice to say though today did NOT go as planned.

Edit to add: Here is the photo that it wouldn't let me upload directly from my cell. Now that I'm home I'm inserting it manually. Would have been more timely when I wrote the post but...sometimes you gotta make due.

This is awesome. The current feels-like temperature of me in Florida is only 1 degree warmer than the feels-like temp of my partner in Alaska. HA!

LOL Of course tomorrow it's going to be 72 or something here so it's a short-lived bit of winter.

That is depressing, that the feels-like temperature is over 40 degrees *warmer* in Alaska than it is in Kansas... but that's okay, in true Midwest fashion the temperature is in for a major change tomorrow - it's supposed to have a wind chill of -30!  I'm not ready for that...

It's funny because a friend of mine from Sitka just arrived at Disney World in FL on the 1st and the temperatures immediately dropped. So much for escaping our winter temps Smiley

Brrrrr. I. Can't. Even.

I am such a wimp- haha!

But actually, it's funny... We were in FL a few years ago for my Bro-in-Law's graduation, and it was freezing!  People were walking around Disney in full winter coats and scarves and there was steam rising in giant hanging clouds from the outdoor hotel pools!  I think that was that week where I think they said it snowed in 49 states or something....

DeadBathDucky-- I hope we get to find out what your resolution is!!!

To be fair... that is the temp down here in southern Alaska. Up in Fairbanks area they've already hit -50F this winter. I live in the banana belt of Alaska. I grew up in that below zero stuff and got tired of it Smiley

I was at Disney World in the evening late last month and it was a feels-like of like 44F and I was wearing a sweater, jeans and a coat. It was cold! LOL I've been in Florida nearly my entire life so I get cold easy too. Heh.

It's supposed to even get down to record lows overnight Monday. Forecast is currently calling for....wait for it... 29F! Shocked Holy crap on a cracker. We're going to have power outages if it gets that far below freezing. People around here just don't know what to do about the cold because we're just not equipped for it.

Proof Florida is out of it's mind. May I present the forecast for this week:

Here's Georgie joining us for our traditional New Year's Eve fondue party:

(He's behind my plate, if you can't see him!)

Blog post: http://georgieinvb.blogspot.com/2014/01/happy-new-year.html

I caught up and posted about my friend's tattoo, which Georgie totally helped with:

And Georgie and I started playing with some of the new kitchen stuff I got for Christmas (in the newly-reorganized kitchen... can't even tell you how awesome that feels):

The sausage photo and a link to the recipe on another of my blogs are on the blog: http://georgieinvb.blogspot.com/2014/01/cooking.html

Haha! I actually did look to see if we had any corn  before I took the photos, but alas, we did not. I do need to go grocery shopping though... maybe he'll remind me to pick some up!  Grin

Oh always a good deal when they do the free print promos! I found (on accident) one time that 99 prints was quite a bit cheaper in shipping versus 100 or 101. So I often stay under that to save on S&H. Thanks for the head's up though!

(And jeez, I don't even have an album yet let alone photos printed! So you're definitely more organized than me! LOL)
