My resolution is to make it up the steep hill to my home on my bike.

So, get out on the bike, get fitter, get up hill of doom.  Smiley

Happy New Year!

Love and I didn't feel all that great on New Year's Eve and didn't feel up to dealing with masses of drunk people (lol) so we took it easy and stayed in for the night. Of course we watched the ball drop on TV and Willow got a front-row seat.

Counting down...goodbye 2013!

Happy 2014!! Smiley

Oh and then typical Florida!

77F (25C) outside today and then tomorrow, the temp plummets to a high of only 57F (14C)!! This happens a lot here. Winter is a....fluid concept in the Sunshine State. Some days it's 80 and the next it's in the 40's with the day after that back in the 70's. You just never quite know and always have to consult the weather to see what you're wearing that day!! Grin

Apti has not had the most fun for New Year's, since I was dreadfully sick.  Went to bed early on New Year's Eve and everything.  Still really ill, hopefully will be better by Saturday, since we have plans!

Temps here are supposed to get below 0 in the next few days, luckily Apti had a spiffy new scarf to keep him warm!

I have yearly goals, not really resolutions, though I haven't even been able to start on any of those yet...  :/

As many others, goals here, but not many resolutions - they tend to be broken anyway within the first 3 months.

There's the usual "get fitter, lose weight" which seems to be on my list every year. This year it's a bit more pressing as we have my dad's 70th, friends' wedding and the fact I'm turning 40 end of the year and being an older parent it's a bit worrying to think that we (DH and myself) might not be the fittest to be around for a long time for our girls.

Huh... that's quite sad thoughts there...

Other goals - fancy trying new crafts, like image transfers, making my own stamps and tunesian crochet and maybe polymer clay.  Smiley

As for New Year's Day - the Poses were spending it in the Christmas tree, as the full household is down with colds, the "hobbitses" had their sides of the cots taken down and since then they're turning little terrors at bed time. Shocked

DH and I went to bed before 12pm, but then ended up watching Castle to bridge into 2014. Wink

This is awesome. The current feels-like temperature of me in Florida is only 1 degree warmer than the feels-like temp of my partner in Alaska. HA!

LOL Of course tomorrow it's going to be 72 or something here so it's a short-lived bit of winter.

I think my only resolution this year is to use up a big chunk of my craft stash, as I have so much stuff and not enough space to store it! I moved out of my childhood home about 9 months ago, and am only just now able to move a lot of my stuff to my new place. This includes my original craft stash, which I will be adding to the new stash of stuff I have started building up at my new house. It's like an addiction, I really need some help to stop buying and start making! Haha.

It's funny because a friend of mine from Sitka just arrived at Disney World in FL on the 1st and the temperatures immediately dropped. So much for escaping our winter temps Smiley

LOL So THAT'S where the cold front came from! Grin Don't worry, in true Florida fashion it's back up in the 70's tomorrow. Cold fronts tend to only last a day or two at a time. (Though it's set to get cold again the beginning of next week.)

I had to run out today and man, my car was freezing! I was like, "come on heater!" which the poor thing doesn't get used very often so it was out of practice! Cheesy
