Well my daughter is turning 3 on the 30th of October and she just had a Cinderella themed party this last weekend. I wanted to have a special wall hanging for her party and made this Cinderella Silhouette Quilted wall hanging last week just for her party!
I had attached the binding but hadn't finished attaching it to the back in this photo

The background all started as Charm squares. I used 4 white Fat Quarters of different white/white tonal prints and 2 Teal and Cream 1/4 yd. cuts of fabric. I then cut all the charms into 2 1/2in. squares. I pieced and quilted the backdrop first. This I attached the silhouette with Heat n Bond and stitched around the perimeter.

It measures 24"x36" completed and here is what the final product looked like at her party!

Now it will be moved into her "Big Girl" room for her to enjoy year round!

How fun!  What technique did you use to get the silhouette?

That is super special and awesome. It came out beautifully. I love it when party decor can be used for so much more. Good job, mom!

I first found a silhouette on a google search and then I enlarged it using Excel (if you have a PC, Paint will work just as well to enlarge) and printed it out on 4 pieces of paper which I pieced together with tape. I them used Heat and Bond to trace it onto and put that on black printed fabric. THen I cut bout out the image and bonded it to the quilted background and used a simple straight stitch around the border.

I recommend quilting the background first just to make it easier!
