So my work is having a company carved/decorated pumpkin contest. I cannot carve very well so I decided to paint one. I was really inspired by this pumpkin I saw on Pinterest Wink http://alisaburke.blogspot.com/2009/10/messy-pumpkin-tutorial-giveaway-winners.html  SO I decided to go for it! It took a few hours since there are a lot of layers of paint! I used shimmery metallic paints for the background and finished up with a gold glitter glaze over top! The office ladies loved it so we'll see how well it does in the contest Wink (The winner wins a company sweatshirt lol)

Thanks for looking and hope it inspires you too!!! Happy Halloween!

I think it's pretty. It's like a whole neighborhood! How are the other contest entries?

Skip the sweatshirt...just enjoy your ART!
Wonderful job. I can see the work that went into it, but by not carving it, it will last much longer!
I still hope you win a prize, though. Just for the fanfare.
    Happy Halloween!
Hey, why don't we have some Halloween-ie Smilies? A devil, or something ghostly/witchy?

As it turns out I didn't win But its been on display on the company lobby and I've had supervisors from other departments compliment me on it so that's better than a sweatshirt LOL! Thanks everyone for the kind words! It was a very fun project!
