So, anyone else a fan of Jenny Lawson? I totally started a Traveling Red Dress.
I made this dress years ago and just got around to wearing it in April. And now I can show pictures to you guys! Yay!

A couple more on a blog.

Very glamorous! You look lovely wearing it, and I got a kick out of the cigarette! Now to buy a long cigarette holder? They are not that expensive. Quite lovely. Great job! And if you don't smoke, you can always use red ink or marker to paint the end of it and make it look lit.  Grin

Thanks you guys. The idea for a long cigarette holder did occur to me, when I was at the studio! Of course I didn't even get the cig until that day and I had to ask it of the hair dresser. Yes it was just a prop!
I have passed the dress on to a friend. I hope she gets the pics done. She would rock it even more than me.

This is gorgeous. What did you use for the lacing in the back?

Do it bunny! Do it! If I still had the dress I would totally send it to you, you can't be any bigger than me, right?
Thanks for the words everyone!
Color, the lacing in the back was done with some stuff I think I got from Hobby Lobby. It wasn't supposed to be used like that. It was really loopy and hard to describe. I made the loops out of the same stuff and it really didn't like slipping through itself! But it looked good and that's what counts, right?

I think we probably are about the same size, it looks like. If you still had the dress, I would so totally take it! LOL!  Such a totally fun idea!  I will probably have to wait until after the holidays, but I love this idea.  What great inspiration!!

What a dress! What a hairdo! Your hairdo reminds me of my wedding updo (the only day of my entire life when my hair looked glamorous Smiley) Only I had white roses instead.
Gorgeous dress and you do look glamorous!

Thanks everyone! I felt glamorous and it is still an incredible boon to my self image even 8 months later, especially having a giant 11 x 14 book of the day. I've always had image issues and this really helped with that. If anyone of you are feeling down and/or constantly feel unpretty/unloved do this for yourself and you will feel a difference! And get a photographer who is can at least act as excited about it as you are, that helped a lot!
