I thought it would be fun to post my first real projects I've completed crocheting. The scarf and fingerless gloves/mittens, I call them mittens because they don't have indivual finger holes, are Christmas Presents for my Sister-in-law. The Blue scarf is for my mom's boyfriend.
The scarf is just a very basic single crochet design and the gloves/ mittens I altered the pattern slightly from a pattern I found by Rachel on CornFlower Blue http://cornflowerbluestudio.blogspot.com/2011/12/free-crochet-pattern-organic-cotton-arm.html I added a thumb hole about half way down so instead of arm warmers they came out gloves. Whatcha think?

I really liked the yarn you used. It looks like it's probably super soft. It also looks like you kept your gauge even, which is awesome. I was terrible at gauge for a long time, so I'm always impressed when people can get it under control when starting out.

Lovely colour yarn.  Nice and cosy for winter.

Thank you! I used Lion Brand Homestyle which is really soft and bulky. I love this color too, so I bought extra so I could make myself a set once I'm done doing all the other Christmas presents I have to do. Smiley
