One of my favorite crafts! these are all 100% vegan cakes without refined processed white sugar or powdered sugar or animal products.

My friends Bday cake:

My rasta friends birthday cake:

another friends cake:

My wedding cake (the most exciting part of planning and organizing it was making the cake Grin)

I hope you like!

Recipes added:
Chocolate-

3 cups unbleached flour
2 cups raw sugar
6 Tablespoons cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups chocolate soymilk (water works too!)

Combine flour, sugar cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl. add liquids. mix. bake @ 350 for 40 minutes

rum cake variation:

replace vanilla with 3/4 teaspoons almond extract
replace soymilk with 1.5 cups water and 1/2 cup rum

i think raspberry goes really well with almond cake. i like to make a puree for the center of the cake

1/2 cup sweetener of choice
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon arrowroot
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups fruit

combine the arrowroot with a few tablespoons of water to make a paste. set aside.
in a saucepan combine the sweetener, water, fruit and lemon juice. over low heat stir until mixture begins to boil. once it boils add the arrowroot mixture. The mixture should start to thicken in a few minutes. STIR constantly. Remove from heat and cool.
chocolate frosting
   1/2 cup vegan margarine
   2 cups vegan powdered sugar
    1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    2 tablespoons soymilk
1/3 cup cocoa powder (or more)
    a dash of salt

soften margarine. use an electric mixer to mix in sugar , vanilla, soymilk, cocoa powder and salt. mix until fluffy and well mixed.

bake cakes. cool. frost. to decorate- used sliced almonds, chocolate chips and anything else. have fun!

Thank you!  Yes, I baked before I had my daughter. I would be happy to share a recipe with you as long as you don't share it with the world. I may publish them some day.  :DI can pretty much do any flavor, PM me if you want. Or yes, fly me over and I'll be happy to make it for you! Grin

They look delicious ...and are probably more healthy than most recipes too.

Thanks for posting.

oooh! i'm so inspired. i also love making and eating decorated cakes. i hope you don't mind, i'm going to post a link to the cake i made for my (vegan food only) graduation party. partly because i can't remember how to post pictures directly, and because i don't want to make any attempt at stealing your thunder. i just had to show this eventually !!

it should be here: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=17175&sort=1&cat=500&page=1
