A swap partner had a theme of battlestar galactica and when researching ideas I saw an amazing picture of two characters hugging with a tattoo that overlapped perfectly. I totally fell in love with the concept (and maybe a little bit with the guy in the picture). After rewatching a bit of the show, which I hadn't been that into when it came out, I fell in love with the whole series.

Anyway... I decided to make matching couch cushions using the tattoos. They are embroidered with pearl cotton.

Don't know the show really, but they are beautiful pillows all the same.

Gorgeous work!  And yeah, the guys in that show were...wow!  And the show altogether had a lot of great elements. Such neat subtly geeky pillows!

That is crazy awesome!  Love it!  I actually tried to talk my husband into getting the Starbuck and Anders tattoo with me when we got married. Wink
