I had a little ornament swap and ended up making 12 ornaments! I'll sell the rest at a charity craft show. But I had so much fun making these houses. Little scraps of fabric, lace, buttons, bits and pieces.  I made the shingles out of balsa wood and the wreaths out of rafia. What do you think?

Solid wood blocks cut from scrap pine mostly. I sanded the edges down, painted them brown, then white and sanded again to give an old worn look. Then I cut balsa wood into strips, broke into shingles, glued and painted.

It was a fun scrap buster projects and I worked in layers. I'm digging through the scraps looking for more pieces!

Thank you for all the nice comments.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.
