Wow! I have to jump into one of these. You are all so spoiled! Give me a bit of time, and I will come up with something to share somewhere. This is delicious! What wonderful yarnie crafters. I am just getting my feet wet with these types of projects. Newbie to this craft. I know how, just not much time under my belt. Can't wait to try, though.

What pattern did you use for the fingerless mitts Kayrun?

It's a lovely package! I love the broomstick bookmark, my daughter would love that! How do you do the bottom of it? The handle looks like it is I-cord, is that right?

oh, I'm so glad everything got there in 1 piece and so quickly!
Now, let me wrack my pitiful brain for the pattern.....
here we go:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/zephyr-fingerless-mitts-and-mitten-option
really quick with the chunky yarn, and Malabrigo is a dream to work with!
I think I'll have to make a pr for ME next   Grin
You are right about the bookmark, it's i-cord for the handle, and for the bottom I just cut lengths of yarn
and pulled through with a crochet hook (think it's called a larks head knot?)

and......TA DAH!!!!!!
my pkg was in my mailbox today!
I'm so excited & will post pics later

oh boy!
my partner, alterknitive  (love the username  Smiley sent me a great pkg!!

Here's everything still wrapped so cute-ly :

and here's the loot!!

(once again, my crappy camera doesn't do it all justice, but I'm too cheap to buy a new one,
and too stuck in a rut to learn how to USE a new one!!  LOL)

Here's what I got:
Recycled == the cutest teddy bear you ever saw!  she used a semi-felted wool + mohair sweater &
sewed this darling toy from it!  I think he looks adorable without a face....no worries!

Local == British alpaca yarn in a lovely gray.....can't wait to use this -- thanks!

(the little tags for the rest slipped out during their journey, so plz correct me if I didn't match
them up to the right items!  and feel free to share pics if you took any~)

Letter M == Minion from Despicable Me....love love love him!  You certainly don't seem like a newbie to crochet -- excellent work! (how funny that we both chose to make a minion -- a match made in heaven  Smiley

Funny == evil purple minion.....another adorable character!  thanks!

Green == cute Christmas tree ornaments.....just darling!

Hard == cute teddy bear stitch markers....can never have enough of these!  I seem to be losing
these lately, so you are right on target with these  Smiley

Sender's Choice == the yummiest candy bars on the planet.....curlywurly.....if you have never tried them,
you simply MUST!  and she sent a FIVE pack, folks!  mmmmmmmm

and finally,
Dotted == a cute owl project bag....she persevered through illness to finish this, and it's a super project.  I am thrilled with it!

Thanks a million, Julia!!
It was so much fun having you as a partner!

The package is awesome, but I want to reach thru the computer screen and take the minions!  DH wants me to make him some for Xmas, but I HATE making amigurumi!

I'm so glad you liked everything, Karen!  Yes, Curly Whirleys are the best.  Chewy caramel covered in chocolate, yum.  I must admit that is the second pack I bought - the first didn't make it (I ate them).  Yes, I had a little chuckle when I saw the minion you sent me!  The labels didn't make it, but something hard was the stitch markers (do they remind you of gummy bears?), and something dotted was the project bag.  Thank you for your kind comments about my minions.  My stepsons are getting these for Christmas.

And Ladybugsandbumblebees, the minions are quite quick to make (if a bit fiddly), but totally worth it!
