Wonderful project MamanTatoo! And great that your five year old can share in the joy of crafting!!

Not sure what I will do in this theme, but my next project idea is featured on a thread here shared by FunBasedLearning about a tree muppet made with recycles. A halloween theme. Neat and simple for kids, too. I posted some additional ideas that I have for doing mine, on that thread there. I have a large spooky tree on my corner lot that would be great for that project.

I also have tons of magazines to cut up and destroy. We will see what my brain dreams up tonight in my sleep. I sometimes think best then. Go figure.  Undecided

I do those, too!!! They are so fun to do. I do them at the coffee table while watching movies  Grin Good mid to older kid project, as well. It is so interesting to see how things come out with really colorful pictures and pages.
I use my printer and print the pattern (LONG triangles are easy!) on the back side of the image I like, then just cut and roll. I use a coffee stir straw to wrap around. And then some glue stick towards the end. I seal mine with spray clear seal stuff. Easy peasy! Sometimes I paint mine, too. If I don't like how the colors of the pictures look afterward.

Here is a great tutorial, but just YouTube/Google "paper bead tutorial", and you can find tons of ideas, for those of you who haven't a clue what we are talking about.

Lets all do some of these, shall we??? And then show off our necklaces and such. That would be fun! I am loving this craftalong!

Today I am working on using paper bags to use for my gift wrap for Christmas. I just "charged up" my old ink pads and pulled out my rubber stamps. I don't really have the money to buy wrap, and didn't get a chance last year to shop the clearances for it....so....this year it is comics and paper bags that will get decorated.  Grin I love the recycle, anyway. GREAT SHARE LAZYNEEDLE!!!!!!!

I don't have magazines either, but I've got college brochures and such-some of them are almost magazine size! Kiddo gets more of these every week.

Oh, this is great!  I hate to throw stuff out as I consider just about anything as "supplies", too! Grin

I, unfortunately, have way too many magazines...

It would be fun to think of some ideas with you guys as to what can be done with them!

I love the use of them to cover other things--like the cute case for dolls!

I have done paper beading as well, but then, I am not sure what to use all of those beads for... Grin

Got my brain working now...also, here are some more ideas!!

Oooh, I might join this one! I've definitely got too much stuff for recrafting. I have a tendency to keep stuff that could, maybe, possibly, eventually, one day be useful.

I love the redo of the backpack, MamanTattoo!  And those fairyhouses are adorable, too.  Smiley

And lazyneedle, those beads are fabulous!

I may just have to take you up on your idea, stillatthetop, and make some beads myself.  Cheesy  And I always love gifts wrapped in comics and homemade paper, so I'm sure your recipients will, too.

I'm psyched people are enjoying this craftalong so far!  I just need to figure out what I'm going to make out of magazines/catalogs/similar type of junk mailings.
