Challenge Item #1: Magazines (Oct. 15-Nov. 15)

Find a magazine or catalog, use part or all of it, and create something beautiful!  Then show us what you created out of what would have gone into the recycling bin!

I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

I believe I can jump in. I will be following this thread. It doesn't seem like there are any true rules or deadlines. I am constantly re-purposing things, so it will be fun to share. I give most items away, but I have TONS of "garbage", as my friends question me about..."Why is that pile of garbage in your hallway???" That is not garbage...it is craft supplies that I save up. They are contained and organized...what the ****? What is it to them...walk around it!!!!  Grin Sounds fun. Count me it. I have many items to recycle.

Question for host: Would you post on the first page some ideas of agencies that could use my crafted goodies? Ideas for things like orphanages, nursing homes, homeless shelters, that type of thing. Where people would appreciate a gift? Not the actual agencies, but just general ideas of things (types of places) that other crafters have shared with other people? I think that would be great for everyone here to have an "Idea Source" for their shares.  Grin Off to bookmark!

Welcome to the craftalong, stillatthetop!

And good idea about the different places items could be donated.  There are more specific groups who accept crafted donations in Crafting for Good and not Evil ! Smiley

Yay! We've just used a catalogue to turn an ugly Bratz suitcase into a nice babriecase. I'll post when my pictures are uploaded Smiley
