I found these beautiful over-sized and ornate keys at Michaels’s craft store for $1.50 a piece. I had no idea how to use them, until I realized I wanted to change up my Ikea Malm dresser again. I used acrylic paint for color and mod podge to seal it. The keys were painted with Liquitex black Basics acrylic paint and glued to the drawer faces with E600 glue. What made me happiest, despite the simplicity of it, was the use of 3M painter's tape to make the lovely and crisp lines around the edges. Super happy with this antique yet modern looking piece for my bedroom Smiley

Just checked out your blog.  That is quite a transformation.  I really like it with the keys .  . though I do keep thinking that maybe I need to modpog a dresser.  Anyway yours looks great!

I agree it is quite a transformation.  The new version is so much more grown up, and sophisticated.

I'd love to try this, it looks totally vintage and classy now.  Great idea!
