The stuff I found today was around 4 bucks.  And it was in the candle area...I was expecting the fine arts area too.  I had heard of conservators wax, and sort of thought sticky wax would be the same.  The two first places I went to tried to sell me the poster putty, but it was in bright colors.  At least this stuff is clearish.  I'll let y'all know when I get home and get a chance to use it Grin

lol I doubt if I would actually glue things down...I tend to take things apart when they no longer suit me and make something else...I have been known to frog a scarf or shawl to make them into something else...

I really need a display case for oddities...that is what I am hoping to do! Grin

I frog scarves too.

BTW, FWIW just saw one of those same sewing boxes go via auction for just over $60.  (With the legs.)

I think that sewing box would make the best wall mounted shrine ever.

whoa!  I am going to keep my eyes out for unusual things to make shrines with!

hey--this group is good on using alternative materials/junk for other things...any ideas to help a fellow craftster?
