one more question: you placed eye pins in. At what point in the curing process where you able to handle the resin without getting fingerprints on it but still stick an eye pin in?

i use 2 part epoxy resin, mostly enviortex lite

for the eye pins, i do that after the pieces have cured. i use a dremil and drill a pilot hole, the using pliers i set the eye pins. i use resin or e6000 to secure the pins in the piece. does that make sense?

Yes that makes perfect sense. Thanks! I've been trying to find a way to do this, i found one tutorial that gives some instructions on how to get them in during the curing process but I feel that getting a drill may be the best route.

my hubby bought me a rechargable dremil from walmart, and i bought the drill bits and extra chuck piece. it was the best money we spent! well except for my molds lol.

this is the dremil i have
