I made this purse for a swap recently.

It is dark green, almost gray linen I had from another project that went bad.  I wanted a modern design on the front and was going to embroider the flowery pattern but it didn't look so great but then I came up with drawing it on with a white paint pen (much faster too!).

I modified a purse pattern I already had, adding the flap and used a leather belt for the strap.  I really liked how the strap turned out--looks  good and is the perfect length when you carry it on your shoulder.  When I tried it on I didn't want to give it away anymore!  I also made a matching tissue holder, keychain and zipper pouch to match; and an elastic pen-holder for a cute notebook.

This is a lovely set.  I especially like  how feminine the key holder is.

The flower design looks amazing. You must have a steady hand!

My etsy shop...I am also looking for some personal swaps in the form of fabric. Scraps of all kinds. Big or small black or white, you get the picture.

That's a really great bag - I'm particularly impressed with the painted-on flower. Also, using a belt for the handle is such a cool idea. I love the accessories too. Lucky swap partner!
