I had a problem knowing where to post this - embroidery? fibre art? art? - in the end I put it here because I started from the felt.

I made the sample, carved it, and only decided how I was going to use it afterwards.  It's loosely stitched to appliqued vintage wool fabric, and embellished with hand embroidery and beads.

I've done a few art pieces this way and I love the freedom of it.

Very lovely!  It could have fit almost anywhere.  Quite a peaceful scene, what are you going to do with it?  It looks as though it would either make a lovely pillow or a wall hanging.
