Now we're in Gumby; I'm gonna walk through a book.

As part of a housewarming gift for a friend who just bought her first house (who happens to be a big fan of Star Trek), I dipped into glass etching for the first time.  I think she'll like it!  I just used an exacto knife on a big sheet of self-stick craft foam to cut out the letters, but I bet it would be way more polished and precise if you used a Cricut (or other fancy cutting machine that I don't have). Smiley

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.  Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

I think it looks great, Cricut or not. (as far as I am concerned that machine is cheating...give me the Xacto!)
Been wanting to try the glass etch stuff. Very nice job. I think your friend will love it!

NEW REQUEST: Need quilting fabric with ONLY purple, grey, green. Solids or Prints in any combination/shades, but NO OTHER COLORS ALLOWED. HELP! They are hard to find.

Your lettering looks great, and such a clever way to do the wording Smiley

That is too much fun! As an avid Trekkie, I'm sure your friend will love it.
